_live a life that matters_

LIFE’S INSIGHTS by Rev. Carlos Borja

International Gaudiya Vedanta Society of the Philippines (IGVSP), Siya AY ISANG KAIBIGAN (He is one among your friend).

the 4 major charactrisics on how to develop our love to God and to everybody:

  1. Compassionate
  2. Truthfulness
  3. Kindness
  4. Mercifulness

  • we use to think that life is a fairy tale … full of magic, excitement…., vivid !! But that was long time ago. Now we know that there’s more to life than just "happily ever after:"… We learned that we get wiser each day and no fairy tale can lead us to a happy ending. We decide, we struggle, and we somehow begin to understand that we have the power to make each day better than yesterday.
  • Sometime we wish we were young, wish we were somewhere, wish we had that something. But sometimes we wish too much that we miss to enjoy WHO WE ARE, WHERE WE ARE & WHAT WE ARE & WHAT WE HAVE.  The secret to happiness is to embrace and appreciate everything that happens in our life.
  • Life is all about waking up each day to discover something new, about meeting old people but making new conversations, walking through old roads but still feeling nice about it, realizing that you have grown up a day older but still feeling young at heart, meeting busy schedules but still finding time for old friends, and being nostalgic about gone days but looking forward to better days.
  • It is not how we do but how much LOVE  we put in the doing. It is not how much we give but how much  LOVE we put in the giving.
  • Life is a matter of perspective, either you complain because roses have thorns or you rejoice because thorns have roses. It all depends on how you look at it.
  • Only actions based on the true undeminished love bear fruits of success. You may not be aware of it but only those who patiently and silently labor without the acclaim of the world and without  the fruits in mind that reap success.
  • Friendship is a gift that is fair in all things. It takes root  from one’s heart and involves memories that stay not for a while but for a lifetime.
  • Sweet words are easy to say, sweet things are easy to buy but sweet people  are difficult  to find.
  • Dreams visit us when we are asleep. But God is truly wise. He wakes us up each day to give us all the chances to make those dreams come true.
  • Do you know the relation between two eyes? They blink together. They move together. They cry together. They see together and they sleep together even if they never see each other. —  it’s they same on how we relate our life with our significant others …
  • All mornings are like paintings, you need an inspiration to get going, a smile to brighten your day and a message from someone who cares to color your day.
  • Trust not the world for it doesn’t last. Only God lasts for He is eternal.
  • The human form of life is meant to transcend the wheel of birth and death. Utilize the complete facility of the human form of life to become God-conscious. That is our daily business.

                              DOSES OF SANITY:

  1. Enjoy life: there’s plenty of time to be dead…  lol
  2. nobody really cares if you are miserable; so you might as well be happy.
  3. If you can’t solve a problem… it is not a problem anymore ,it’s reality. Better accept it. … Lol
  4. Insane people are always sure that they are fine; it’s only the sane people who are willing to admit that are crazy… bwahahahaha
  5. Happiness is like perfume; you can’t pour on others without getting a few drops on yourself. yeahh tru

  • Everything you have done will become someone else’s memory; the person might  forget the exact words you said but there’s no way to make them forget the way you made them feel.
  • Beautiful character begins in the heart. Let your light shine, whether you’re a candle, a star,  or a lighthouse  on a hill.
  • A good person is never alone.; One who sows thoughtfulness reaps friendship; one who plants kindness reaps love.
  •  Happiness is between too little or too much . Having just enough wealth to meet our needs, enough poverty to learn to work hard, enough blessings to know that God loves you and enough problem so you wont forget Him, enough happiness to keep us sweet and enough trials to keep us strong, enough hope to keep us happy and enough sorrow to keep us human. What you are is a gift from God, but you become is your gift to God.

CONSIDER THIS:

If you have food, clothes and a home, you are richer than 75% of the world, if you have money in the bank, you are among the top 8 & of the world’s wealthy; if you woke up heathy this morning, you are more blessed than 1 million who will not survive this week; if you have experienced peace and freedom you are ahead of 500 million people in the world; if you read this message, you are more blessed than over 2 million people who cannot read at all…. Won’t you thank God for what you have?

  •   Treat everyone with kindness, even those who are rude to you, not because they are not nice, but because YOU ARE
  • Lent reminds us that our life and material things or possessions are just being lent or borrowed to us. We are all passing by. We are all pilgrims on the road. We bring nothing when we go to our Father but we can leave behind the love we’ve shared, the hope we’ve given and the goodness we’ve done.
  •  God gave us 2 gifts:  one is CHOICE, the other is, CHANCE.  The choice of a good life and the chance to make it the best.
  •   Always prepare and offer 3 candles for your dearly departed, individually. They symbolize the trinity of luck
  •     Never explain yourself to anyone because the person who likes you doesn’t need it and the person who dislikes you won’t believe in you
  •   Be happy for what you have while working for what you want.
  •   Good people are like streetlights along the road; they don’t make the distance shorter but they light up the path and make the walk worthwhile.
  •   When we are young, we search and work for wealth and we sacrifice our health. When we are old, we spend our wealth to recover our health.
  •   Life is more a battle of wills than a battle of skills. So more often, the man who succeeds is not the man who can but the one who THINKS he can. so what will happen to the skills if you don’t have the wills of doing?? that’s why people who have guts to do things even if they lack the skills have higher probabilty to grow and succeed…
  •   You need to feel deprived at times, a bit lonely — and in a way incomplete because if you get everything here on earth — would you still look up to heaven???
  •    It is wonderful to get answer to prayers. But it is even more wonderful to let God mold you and make you into an answer to somebody’s prayer.  Well, I want to be an answer to someone’s prayer…. LOL
  •     The finest or the best friendships are made in the heart, silently, unwritten, unbreakable by distance, and unchangeable by time.  Wow!  I love this kind of friendship…
  •    Life itself is a challenge that we ought to face. You win some, you lose some. But if you never give up, you will discover that sacrifices have the greatest rewards.
  •      Appreciate life even if it is not perfect. Contentment is not fulfilment of what you wish but the appreciation of what you have.
  •    We can be happy anytime once we understand that the only place we’ll find genuine happiness is right inside us. Happiness begins at the point of acceptance. The point when we stop questioning why life can’t be perfect and the point when just accept the world the way it is.  yeahhh true…
  •   DO you know why God gives you another morning to wake up? It’s to forget the pains of yesterday and see the chance of the new day has to bring—to dance and laugh again, to make up for the wrong things you have done, to see your friends and to make others feel happy and loved. You see, it’s more than just another long day ahead. It’s God’s way of remembering you that He cares and loves everyone that He sends us the blessings called MORNING.

WHAT A BEAUTIFUL DAY!!  Just ask GOD for BMW.BMW.BMW

Bless My Work!   Bless My Wisdom! Bless My Way!

Have a good day filled with many reasons to SMILE!!!

LIVE A LIFE THAT MATTERS

Whether you are ready or not,

Someday your life will come to an end.

There will be no more sunrises,

No minutes, hours or days.

All the things you collected,

Whether treasured or forgotten,

Will pass to someone else.

Your wealth, fame, and temporal power

Will shrivel to irrelevance.

It will not matter what you owned

Or what you were owed, your grudges,

Resentments, frustrations, and

Jealousies will finally disappear.

So, too, your hopes, ambitions, plans,

And to-do lists will expire.

The wins and the losses that once seemed

So important will fade away.

It wont matter where you came from

Or on what side of the tracks

You lived at the end.

It won’t matter whether

You were beautiful or brilliant,

Even your gender and

The color of your skin will be irrelevant.

So what will matter?

How will the value

Of your days be measured?

What will matter not what you bought,

But what you built;

Not what you got, but what you gave.

What will matter is not your success,

But the significance.

What will matter is not what you learned,

But what you taught.

What will matter is every act of integrity,

Compassion, courage, or sacrifice that enriched,

empowered, or encouraged others

to emulate your example.

What will matter is not your competence,

But your character.

What will matter is not

How many people you knew, but how many feel

A lasting loss when you are gone.

What will matter are not your memories,

But the memories that lived in those who love you.

What will matter is

How long you will be remembered,

 by whom, and for what

living a life that matter

doesn’t happen by accident.

It’s not a matter of circumstances,

But a choice.

So, choose to live a life that matters.
